Merry Christmas from IDM President Ian Mead

Ian D. Mead,
President

Merry Christmas! How quickly it seems that the year rolls by and again Christmas is almost here.  It's always my pleasure, and the pleasure of all at IDM to wish you a very Happy and Blessed Christmas.

As I thought about what to write this year I took a look at my message from last year and it's still so appropriate for today.  I look at the chaos in the world, the brutality, the heartache, the recent events of terrorism both internationally and domestically and it makes me all the more thankful for the things that really matter - family, friends, those that love and care for us, the basics of life and freedoms that we have.  Most importantly the love of Christ and security in Him as we celebrate Christmas and its real meaning.

The US and the western world has done a great job at overly commercializing Christmas.  It's removed the real meaning – Christ's birth and sacrifice for us.  People have lost focus and become so engaged with gifts, parties, sales, become frustrated with the hustle and bustle of getting everything done and don't leave time and focus on the things that matter most; love, family, Christ and how blessed the vast majority of us are.  Let's each of us pause...reflect and look at what we are doing and if our focus is where it should be!

I apologize if I repeat myself too much, but I wish that Christmas (and life in many respects) could be a little more simple, less cluttered, and we could all be more appreciative of the important things.  I speak to myself here as well.

Let's take the opportunity to reach out to others, to make a difference in their lives and show the love of Christ, or just your own love to others and those that are in need.

From the hardworking and dedicated IDM Team and Rich, my partner, thank you again for your continued support and loyalty.

God bless and Merry Christmas,

Ian

Thanks for your wonderful Christmas messages each year. It's beginning to become less politically correct for individuals let alone companies to be open about their faith. Thank you for standing strong in your faith.

Merry Christmas!!!

Thank you for being open about your faith. I know how hard it is to broadcast the message in these days of political correctness. But, because we profess Him publicly, He will bless and keep us until the day of His return.

Emphasis on the Christ spirit
Reply #10 on : Tue December 08, 2015, 13:10:06
This is a good basic message for me, since I am a bit down about Christmas, and the overblown commercial hype. Though having been a small retailer, a long time ago -- I saw my sales graph tilted so heavily to December revenue. May the spirit of Christ prevail.

One thing I would like to point out is that Jesus (Isa) is recognized as a messenger of God, in the Quran. There is even an account of his immaculate birth in the Sura Mariam.

Thanks again for your focus on the Christ message this year. As a long time user and supporter of your products, I appreciate your consistency with this message of God's love for us when He sent Christ to be born as a man. Fully God and fully man at the same time! You think coding is hard, try wrapping your head around that one!

Have a blessed Christmas.

The Lod giveth and the Lord taketh away ... blessed be the name of the Lord.
Reply #16 on : Wed December 09, 2015, 09:45:12
This is my first Christmas where my future is unsure. My company laid me off at the beginning of October and my job search so far has been fruitless. Nevertheless I remember those word of wisdom from Job spoken so many years ago and I say again, "Blessed be the Name of the Lord." As He came to earth to be a sacrifice for many, let us not forget that loving, unselfish act of redemption. The future looks grim for me, but I trust that my God will take care of me even now. And regardless, I remember that there are things to come that I can't even imagine on that day when I finally see Him, as in the words of the apostle Paul, "face to face." If I may quote from my favorite Christmas song:

Come rejoice! Queen and beggar,
The homeless man and the Prince of Pride.
Saints and vagabonds, rich and poor,
Rejoice in gladness on Christmas Night!

(Sung by Judy Collins on her Christmas album)

And the reason they and we rejoice? Because Hope was born that night to a sad sin-sick world. It will not always be this way. Maranantha. Come Lord Jesus!

Best wishes to you all during this wonderful time of the year! It's a cliche' but nevertheless I say it: Remember the reason for the season.

Ian - So glad that you continue to publicly acknowledge the real Reason for the Season.

I agree that society seems to be unable (or unwilling) to simply "be still". For me, Psalm 46:10 pretty much says it all: "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."

God Bless!

I am so pleased to see that you all have the right focus on this season. With all of the "political correctness" that is pushed at people, I appreciate someone willing to continue to state simple truths. My family has endeavored to do the same. Merry Christmas.

Ian - It's so refreshing to see a company, and more importantly a leader of a company, not cower to the political correctness of today's worldly view. Thanks for reminding everyone the reason we celebrate Christmas - Christ's birth and ultimate sacrifice for our sins so that for those that entrust their lives to Him can live in everlasting peace and worship with God! Many blessings and continued success to you and your firm.

Ian and Crew at IDM:
Thank you for this message and not hiding the true meaning of Christmas. The world is on fire and the pressure to silence the Christmas message and hope in Christ is tremendous. Thank you for not buckling to political correctness and market pressure. I appreciate it. I know others do too. Additionally, thank you for a great product that I and my coworkers have been using daily for years.

Merry Christmas,

I'm Jewish and I so appreciate your post.

Thank you. You have frankly and so eloquently stated your beliefs and done it without stepping on the toes of others.

It is refreshing to see someone unapologetically speak openly about their faith. Yes, even when it is different than mine. It really is OK for us to be different. You spoke of love, family and friends. These are universal. We should remember to be grateful and to appreciate all of our nearest and dearest.

Thank you for the reminder.
